Black laquered pine, the panels in matte bronze green, decorated with conventionalized owls, lotuses, and zig-zag designs, the decorations stencilled, with highlights finished by hand.

Dresser, according to the Furniture Gazette of 26 June 1880 (of which he was the Art Editor), designed the decorations of the interiors and much of the furniture of Bushloe House, Wigston Manor, Leicestershire, the house of Hiriam B. Owston . . . one of the shareholders of the Art Furnishers' Alliance of which Dresser was Art Director. — Robin Spencer
