Professor Andrew Homzy, Department of Music, Concordia University in Montreal, Quebec, writes that readers of the Victorian Web "may be interested in knowing that a piece of music was inspired by 'Goblin Market.' Spud Murphy wrote hundreds of arrangements for numerous dance orchestras during the 1930s, most notably those of Benny Goodman, Joe Haymes, and the Casa Loma Orchestra. Mora's Modern Rhythmists performs 20 of these arrangements, using existing scores or transcriptions from the original recordings."
