fter retiring from DuPont as an Executive Compensation Consultant in 1991, Jay studied Renaissance art history in Siena, Italy, for a month, and became a docent at the Delaware Art Museum (now a docent emeritus). Appointed to the Delaware State Arts Council, he has served as a board member of Delaware Art Museum, the Delaware Center of Contemporary Art, the Delaware Theatre Company, and the Wilmington Music School as well as serving as as president and board member of both First Stage Theater Company and City Theater Company.
His hobbies include bicycling, playing piano, DJ-ing, web design, and working on the Victorian Web to which he has contributed photographs while also retouching images, correcting typos, fixing broken links, and adding book review pages.
