Matt Morgan.Garibaldi, hero of Italian reunification, faces a figure the Russian Tsar, who is dressed as a cossack, while the Pope, who's depicted as a scruffy ruffian, sits at his right and Napoleon III, at his left. Since Garibaldi is staring at the Tzar, he seems to be the unknown quantity here. — George P. Landow
