Two putti, garlands, and a lion head on One Derby Gate (off Parliament Street), London SW1 (1864-66), the former Whitehall Club designed by the architect C. O. Parnell. British Listed Buildings describes the Portland Stone structure with a slate roof as a "Florid Italian" . . . palazzo, in richly modelled and carved C16 Venetian manner. . . Rusticated elevations with entrance in centre of Derby Gate return; archivolt arched portal rising through basement and ground floor with much relief carving above and flanked on ground floor level” by pairs of Ionic pilasters."
