Cardiff-born architect Col. Bruce Vaughan had a big practice designing, hospitals, and so on. Some have since been demolished, many of his buildings survive today. He became Colonel of the 2nd Battalion of the Glamorganshire Home Guard, and was elected a fellow of the Royal Institute of British Architects (see Brodie 863-34).
