The works were cast and produced by Henry E. Hoole & Co., Sheffield, for whom Stevens served as chief designer from 1850, and "his grates, stoves, and fenders were acclaimed at the Great Exhibtion, London 1851, Paris Universisal Exhibition, 1855, and at London, 1862, wining many awards" (94).
