An older altar frontal at St Augustine's Church, Kilburn, London NW6. One of many embroidered frontal and vestments in the church's collection. This one features three figures, possibly Moses in the middle with two other Old Testament prophets. It is interesting to note that when the Ecclesiological Society of St Paul's visited the church in 1884, the members were rather critical of the an elaborate "scarlet" frontal that was somewhat "less refined" than one of the others there. But this may not be the one! [Click on the image to enlarge it.]
