The Grave of Wilkie Collins
Kensal Green Cemetery
London.
Collins wrote in his will: "I desire to be buried in the Cemetery at Kensal Green and that over my grave there may be placed a plain stone cross and no other monument." He is identified in the inscription, also by his own request in his will, as "author of The Woman in White and other works of fiction." This badly needs cleaning now. Collins's "housekeeper" Caroline (one of his two mistresses) was buried with him in 1895. [Source]
