St Mary Magdalene Church, Enfield

The window is undated but it is probably a very early twentieth-century one, like the one next to it that also shows Jesus with "a soldier of the Lord" and was installed in memory of someone who died in 1907. The text which the present one so aptly illustrates, and which is written just below it, is taken from Solomon 5, 15-16: "The righteous live for evermore; their reward also is with the Lord.... Therefore shall they receive a glorious kingdom, and a beautiful crown from the Lord's hand."
