Note not only the neatly tile-capped crow-stepped gables and diapered brickwork, but also the chimney-stacks joined at the top and bottom, the iron cresting on the roof-ridge, the decorative scalloped bargeboarding over the dormer window, and the little quatrefoil window near the top of the gable. All these ornamental touches must have been carefully thought out.
